Haunted Key by Penguin Magic is a classic mystery in which an ancient key begins to spin slowly and inexplicably on your open hand. The effect is perfect for presentations about ghosts, the paranormal, and other mysterious themes.

You introduce an old skeleton key that can be fully examined by the audience. Next, you lay the key flat on your open hand. When you try to make contact with the spirits, the key begins to move slowly on its own.

Before the eyes of the spectators, the key turns further and further until it is fully turned. Immediately afterwards, you can give it to the audience again for examination.

No magnets, wires, cords, or electronic components are used for the effect. The key is specially designed and balanced to enable the slow, controlled movement. Moreover, the design is virtually self-actuating.

Thanks to its simple construction and mysterious appearance, you can present Haunted Key in various ways. Use it as a brief and inexplicable close-up moment, or build a complete story around it about ghosts and paranormal phenomena.

In addition to the specially designed key, you get access to an extensive video instruction by Nick Locapo. He has performed this effect for years and explains the details that are important to make the key turn as slowly and convincingly as possible.

Haunted Key combines a classic principle with a specially designed key and a simple execution. An atmospheric effect for magicians and mentalists who want to show their audience something that looks as if it is happening without any visible explanation.
