FUEL by Craig Petty and Lloyd Barnes shows a lighter transforming into a spectator's signed card. Includes 20 major gimmicks for a visual transformation and 20 mini gimmicks for the version in their hands.
A lighter transforms into your spectator's signed card, even while they are convinced they still have the lighter in their hands. That is the impossible premise of FUEL by Craig Petty and Lloyd Barnes.
A card is chosen, signed, and placed back into the deck. Next, you give the spectator a lighter that may have already been visibly present during your performance. The chosen card disappears from the deck, and you ask where it might have ended up. Under the lighter? Inside the lighter? No, the card has become the lighter.
When the spectator opens his hands, the lighter has disappeared. Instead, he holds a playing card with the image of the lighter on one side and his own signature on the other. A bizarre transformation that can take place directly in the hands of your audience.
FUEL offers two different versions. The large lighter gimmick was developed for a highly visual transformation. The audience looks directly at the lighter as you transform and unfold it to reveal the signed card. The mini lighter gimmick is intended for the version in the spectator's hands, where they are convinced they are holding a lighter until the moment of the reveal.
You do not need to use a real lighter or actually light anything for the standard presentation. The instructions also explain a method where you can bring a real lighter into play.
You receive a total of 40 FUEL gimmicks, 20 large lighter gimmicks and 20 mini lighter gimmicks. This gives you two different presentations of the same powerful principle: a lighter that transforms in an impossible way into your spectator's signed card.
