Mirror Paddle by Jeki Yoo is a fresh and highly visual interpretation of the classic Jumping Gems. By adding a simple hand mirror to the familiar paddle principle, a complete routine is created, full of appearances, movements, and seemingly impossible moments.

You start with a hand mirror and a seemingly empty paddle. You move the mirror along the handle, and suddenly a diamond appears. You turn the paddle over and show that the other side is empty. Another movement of the mirror, and a diamond appears there as well.

Then the magic begins to build up further and further. With a simple movement of your thumb, the diamonds jump from one side to the other. Next, they multiply until eventually four gemstones are visible, neatly distributed across the ends of the paddle.

When the mirror is used again, the effects become even more visual. The diamonds appear to shift, merge, and change position before the eyes of the audience.

The finale plays cleverly with the reflection in the mirror. One of the diamonds appears to visibly rise out of its own reflection, only to spring back into its original place.

All changes occur openly and without strange or noticeable movements. At the end of the routine, both the paddle and the hand mirror can be given to the audience to examine.

Mirror Paddle is easy to perform and suitable for close-up and table hopping. Due to the highly visual changes, the routine is also excellent for short performances and social media.

A modern version of a classic paddle effect, in which Jeki Yoo combines the well-known Jumping Gems principle with a recognizable object and a strong visual finale.
