THE FLASH by Marco Markiewicz transforms an everyday object that almost everyone carries into a surprising card detector: your own smartphone.

A card is chosen completely freely and can even be signed. It is then actually placed back into the deck and lost. There are no noticeable actions, and for the audience, there seems to be no possibility whatsoever of knowing where the chosen card is located.

You then take out your mobile phone and say that it is going to help you find the card. The playing cards are moved over the smartphone one by one, but initially nothing happens.

To make the effect even more convincing, the spectator can move the cards over the phone themselves. Precisely when one specific card comes above the smartphone, the phone's flash turns on immediately. That card is set aside and turned over. It is exactly the spectator's chosen card.

By combining a smartphone with a traditional card effect, THE FLASH achieves a modern and recognizable presentation. Moreover, the viewer can play an active role in the final reveal.
