Golden Key

Cool magic trick with a key.
The magician has in his hand an old beard key and says this is a magical key that fits on any door of the enchanting castle.
Some doors have a lock in which the beard is horizontal and some doors have a lock in which the beard is vertical.
While capturing the magician says this, he moved the beard (the small piece at the end of the key) of the normal (horizontal) position to a vertical position!

"But some doors have a short slot. Now the magician moves the beard to the middle!
"And," the magician continues, 'some locks have quite a short slot. This time the magician pushes the beard all the way back.

"The interesting thing is that the magic key works only in the hands of the magician." With these words the magician gives the key to the displaced beard off your hands. Spectators beard can not (more) shift!

Very nice trick. Moderately easy to exhibit.
